Dive Industry Young Professionals (DIYP) was founded to unite and empower young professionals in the dive industry. We’re a global network of divers, instructors, shop owners, travel pros, gear specialists, conservationists, and industry innovators aged 18 to 40.
We believe the industry’s future depends on bold ideas, shared experience, and strong connections. That’s why we create opportunities to meet, learn, and grow together.
Mission: To create a globally connected community where young dive professionals thrive — leading the industry with innovation, inclusivity, and a shared passion for the underwater world.
Vision: Dive Industry Young Professionals provides young divers and industry members (ages 18–40) with meaningful connections, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities — helping them build successful careers while shaping a stronger, more sustainable future for the dive industry.

Members
DIYP is composed of a diverse group of young, passionate individuals dedicated to fostering growth in the diving community. Members are individuals ages 18-40 years old who are seeking connections, community, and education in the dive industry.
Mentors & Guidance Team
The mentors play a crucial role in guiding and supporting members, ensuring their growth and development as they navigate the industry. Mentors are typically those above the age 40 who have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they are committed to sharing with young professionals.
Occasionally, mentors will also be members of the organization, meeting the age requirements and knowledge/experience level often sought out in mentors.
The Guidance Team is made up of select individuals who assist young leaders consistently achieve the mission of the organization and provide guidance for the sole sake of the organization and its members.
